6th – 15th July - Talent Jazz In the striking
frame of the Jazz Hall, during the whole Umbria Jazz Festival,
the “Talent Jazz” will take place, a whole new event
where the young and talented Jazz players will be able to show
their artistic flair during an outstanding happy hour (from 6
p.m. to 8:30 p.m.)
6th – 15th July - The Big
Jazz Library In July, on the occasion of Umbria Jazz
Festival, a new fair will take place inside the hotel, called
“The big Jazz library”, in cooperation with Birdland,
Milan. The Italian bibliography about Jazz, together with a complete
DVD collection of cult jazz concerts will welcome the keen public.
6th – 8th July Photographic Workshop On 6th July a photographic workshop will
start, called “Travelling through Jazz”, directed
and coordinated by Pino Ninfa; it will involve 20 photographers
reporting what’s going on in Perugia, pervaded by music
and its protagonists. This event will last four days and will
end with a photo exhibition inside the Jazz Area, where the best
pictures will be on show.
9th July – Hotel Giò
Jazz Area Opening Ceremony The opening ceremony will take place
on 9th July 2007, when the Jazz Area will be introduced to the
press, together with all the events which will take place over
the summer and during Umbria Jazz Festival, from 6th to 15th July.
After this presentation, Erika Leonardi will hold a meeting addressed
to the little and big companies, called “Azienda in Jazz”
(Business in Jazz). During the meeting the spokeswoman will talk
about business issues. The event will be accompanied by a Jazz
concert.
In the evening, it will be time for “Jazz, Wine and Chocolate”,
a tasting path to know all the thematic resort hotels of the Apice
group: Hotel Giò Wine Area and Jazz Area and Etruscan Chocohotel.
14th – 15th July – Vinyl Exhibition
Market The vinyl will play an important role
on 14th and 15th July, when VinylJazz, an exhibition market that
should be a meeting point for all collectors, will take place.
Worth collecting records will be available, event organized in
cooperation with Kolosseo.
