How to book, what to do if you have to cancel
What do I have to do to book?

Do I have to pay a deposit?
A deposit is required only at certain times of the year
What happens if I need to cancel my reservation and I have already paid a deposit?
If you were asked to pay a deposit for the dates of your stay, the cancellation policy will also be specified in the text of the e-mail you received.

How can I reach the hotel / Where can I park? / Are there any shuttles?
Does the hotel have a parking lot?
Hotel Giò has a large, outdoor car park and a garage, which are not supervised but are available to our Guests free of charge.
Where is the nearest train station? Does the hotel provide a shuttle service to/from the station?
The closest train station to the hotel is Perugia central station (FONTIVEGGE), just 1 km from the hotel.

The hotel doesn't provide a shuttle service from the station but there are taxis (0755004888) or buses (line TS with a stop in front of the hotel).
Does your hotel run a shuttle service to and from the airport?
There is a private shuttle service to and from the airport.

It's called Perugia Airlink, and it's in collaboration with Trenitalia. The new dedicated service connects the cities of Perugia and Assisi to the Umbria International Airport “San Francesco d'Assisi”.

The route includes a reduced number of stops to allow passengers to get on and off at the airport to reach the cities of Perugia and Assisi. Thanks to the specific Perugia Airlink graphics, the stops are easy to see. 

The ticket price to reach Perugia Airport from the Perugia and Assisi train stations, for a single trip, is €5.00 (reduced to €2.50 for children aged from 4 to 12).

The hotel and its services
Where can I find photos of the rooms?
You can find images of the different types of rooms in the dedicated section.
From what time, on the day of arrival, is the room available and at what time should it be vacated on the day of departure?
Check-in is guaranteed starting at 2:00 p.m. and check-out must be done by 12:00 p.m. on the day of departure
How does heating/air conditioning work?
Each room features a thermostat that allows you to turn it on and off and to select the temperature you want.
Are rooms accessible to people with disabilities?
Yes, Hotel Giò has rooms equipped for people with disabilities and every space is accessible.
Is the hotel always open? Is there always someone at the reception?
Reception is open 24/7
Up to what age can children sleep with their parents in the same bed?
Children up to their 1st birthday, not yet turned one, can sleep in their parents' bed for free. For children over one year old, a travel cot is available at a cost of €15.00 per night.
For children over three years old, it is mandatory to book a triple room.
Are pets allowed? If so, is there an extra charge?
Since this is not a pet hotel, we have decided to respect our guests' needs and sensitivities.

Therefore, your pets are allowed on a leash in all shared areas of the Hotel, EXCEPT in the Restaurant, Breakfast Room and Meeting Rooms.

We kindly ask you to inform us if you wish to bring your pet with you (only one pet per room is allowed, with a maximum weight of 15 kg). There is an extra charge of 10.00 euros per night.
Can we use the pool?
Hotel Giò's pool is open only during the summer season from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and is free of charge for guests; swimming caps are mandatory. Pets are not allowed.
Is there a charging station for electric cars nearby?
There is a charging station for electric cars in the hotel car park; it is for the exclusive use of our guests. 

You can ask at reception for details of how to use it. 
Is breakfast included?
Yes, a rich buffet breakfast is always included in the room rate.
Where are the breakfast room and the Restaurant? What are the opening hours?
The Breakfast room is located on level -1 of the Jazz Area, and breakfast is served from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.;

The Restaurant Enoteca Giò Arte e Vini, located inside the hotel, is on the ground floor of the Wine Area and is open for lunch from 12:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and for dinner from 7:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

To avoid overcrowding, entry may be restricted to time slots, according to the Management's discretion.
Do you provide half-board?
The Restaurant proposes à la carte meals or the half-board option, which can be applied starting from a minimum of two nights, for the entire stay.
Do you have gluten-free products? Do you have dishes/menus for coeliacs/vegans/vegetarians?
Both the Restaurant and the Breakfast Room provide gluten-free food and products, as we are members of the Italian Coeliac Association (AIC). 

It is alsopossible, upon request, to choose vegetarian and/or vegan dishes.
Can I leave my luggage at the hotel?
Yes, Hotel Giò has a free of charge luggage storage.
Does the Hotel have a laundry service?

How can I reach Perugia's historic center?
How can I get to the city center?
From the Hotel Giò you can reach the historic center by Minimetro (Case Bruciate stop, direction Pincetto, 400 meters from the hotel).

By bus, the closest stop is right behind the hotel: Line TS.

Tickets can be purchased at reception or at any tobacconist or newsagent. They cost 1.50 euros and are valid for 70 minutes. Children under 6 years of age travel for free.

You can also reach the historic center on foot, by walking uphill for about 15-20 minutes.
Which is the closest parking lot to the city center?
The most convenient parking lot is the one of Piazza Partigiani, where you'll find an escalator that reaches the city center.
