July – Palio of the Boats

Palio of the Boats – Passignano sul Trasimeno

It is a re-enactment between the middle Ages and the Renaissance of the struggle between the families Baglioni and Oddi, both from Perugia. The wonderful race, partially on water and partially on the land, takes place on the last Sunday of July. The “Fire of the castle” and the fireworks on the lake are very stunning.
